Concrete Joists

Reduce your labor cost by speeding-up placing of joist stirrups by using WWR.

pan joists

The narrow stem of a joist can be reinforced with WWR stirrups of either U-shaped or a single straight sheet known as a ladder stirrup. This later type of stirrup is frequently used in prestressed double-tees. The ladder stirrup is more effective in pan-joist construction than the single plane rebar. Anchorage is provided at both the top and bottom by two wires, more than two inches apart, running longitudinally down the joist. No lap is required for the longitudinal anchorage wires and they are not used in the calculations of longitudinal stress.
