Concrete Drainage Pipe
Save time and money by using Welded Wire Reinforcement in your precast pipe. WWR has been a major ingredient of precast concrete pipe for many years because it provides an economical solution to the reinforcing requirements of this quality product. Welded Wire Reinforcement can be provided in large rolls or individual sheets that can be rolled into reinforcing cages. The standards of the American Society for Testing Materials outline the requirements of the reinforcing cages, as to spacing and area of steel required for different sizes and classes of concrete pipe.
Ivy Steel & Wire has long been a leader in the manufacture and supply of WWR for the concrete pipe industry. Wire sizes can vary from W 2.5 to W 16 or larger. No matter what type of pipe manufacturing equipment that you are using, Ivy can supply the style of pipe mesh that you need. When certain over-hangs are required or convoluted wire is called for, Ivy can meet your requirements. The engineer can design the reinforcing based on satisfying the load requirements listed in the ASTM standards or supply a special design. In either case Ivy Steel can provide the WWR required to perform the job.
Design yield strengths of either 65 ksi (Plain Wire) or 70 ksi (Deformed Wire) are allowed in the design specifications and provide an effective and economical way to reinforce the pipe. A strong cage of WWR allows for fast removal of forms leading to a quick cycling of forms and shorter construction time.
Talk with your Ivy Steel representative to help come up with the correct mesh pattern for your job. You come up with the design and Ivy will find a mesh pattern to meet it.
