MSE Retaining Wall Systems

A common retaining wall used in recent years is the MSE wall (Mechanically Stabilized Earth). It is classified as a gravity retaining wall and is designed to withstand lateral earth and water pressures, and any live and dead load surcharges.

Many different types of MSE walls exist and most are proprietary in nature. Ivy Steel & Wire provides a grid type of anchor reinforcement in the soil mass, as well as reinforcement in the precast facing elements for several of these systems. By providing specially designed sheets of mesh for the precast facing units, Ivy Steel & Wire can save time and steel to a precaster compared to tying individual rebars.

Contact Ivy Steel & Wire today to find out how they can help you solve your most challenging retaining wall problem.
